Train Simulator: Doncaster Works Route Add-On Activation.rar

Updated: Mar 30, 2020

About This Content Set amid the grime and decay of a Northern England railway scrapyard in 1981 and featuring the Class 03 shunter, Doncaster Works captures a snapshot in time when large parts of British Rail’s ageing diesel traction fleet were being dismantled and replaced with new-generation locomotives and multiple units. An accurate recreation of Doncaster Works and station, the Doncaster Works Route Add-On includes a Class 03 shunter locomotive (built many years earlier at Doncaster Works) in BR Blue livery, complete with accurate gearing just like the original. Doncaster Works also includes a wealth of other new features such as movable ‘dead’ locomotives and carriages, dismantled locomotive and carriage bodies and parts, a team of new workmen figures and a fully operational traverser for accessing the highly-detailed maintenance shed. With highly-detailed workshops, yard surroundings and Doncaster Station - plus the Class 03 diesel shunter - Doncaster Works offers many hours enjoyment.IncludesClass 03 diesel shunter locomotive in BR Blue liveryMovable ‘dead’ rolling stock including Class 02, Class 07, Class 08, Class 101, Class 37, Class 47, Class 55 and coachesScrapyard clutter and scrapped locomotives (non-moving) including Class 08, Class 20, Class 26, Class 37, Class 45, Class 47 and Class 55Scenarios for the routeUK Buildings Model Pack 7aa9394dea Title: Train Simulator: Doncaster Works Route Add-OnGenre: SimulationDeveloper:Dovetail GamesPublisher:Dovetail Games - TrainsFranchise:Train SimulatorRelease Date: 22 Aug, 2013 Train Simulator: Doncaster Works Route Add-On Activation.rar If you're after more rollingstock then yes go ahead but if not don't bother unless it's on sale.Plenty of shunting in a decent sized yard. 2 scenarios in career mode and another 4ish in standard mode. It does get dull as it's just nothing but hauling dead loco's around with the nasty suprises of getting a game over due to wagons\/loco's derailing themselves while trying to couple to them or getting penalties for using fuel which is moronic since if you don't move you don't get anywhere.. I really like the route thanks for sharing. :D. Class 03 model looks great and the sounds are good, Career scenarious are shockingly bad, using fuel will lose you points and after 40 minutes you are told scenario was being timed so again you lose points, mainline next to yard seems to have been shutdown has i noticed no AI mainline traffic,The yard looks very good and ive had no issues with crashing or problems with Traverser\/Sliding Bridge ive had this DLC for over a year now.8\/10 would be my score. No idea about the route never touched it, nor will I.. This class 03 is worthy of more than to haul her fallen sistertrains around what is the railbound version of a funeral homeForget the route.. Its depressingBUY FOR THE 03!Cute, surprisingly powerful with lines that speak of an industrial past where these little locos were king.. A required part of docksides, factories and Railyards. The saddletank of the diesel eraGreat for AI scenery crossing lines minding her own buisness hauling any manner of light freight..single full size carriages or a few unfitted coal wagons destined for somewhere She has 5 gears, shakes in protest if the gears too low.. Makes the perfect moderate pace passenger engine for a branchline..Nicely ticking engine to a loud thunderous roar and growl of power under accelerationHorn is a single trumpet note blastNo headlights but cablight works wellHead out view is perectSlight bug with exhaust though as it never stops even when engines offAll up though its the same engine in the WSR diesels pack just blueGoes well making up uniomist scenarios where its the only traction left on a strike and ends up hauling the 2 car all stations commute train..a favorate of mine in quickdriveLovable engine..everyone needs one.. Superior in personality and cab visibility than the gronk. Even though I haven't driven on this route in a while, I still think it's quite nice.I like the idea of having a workshop complex in TS. It's a part of railways that - in my opinion - doesn't get that much attention. The only other route that I remember has any sort of workshop is Horseshoe Curve, with the workshops in Altoona. I think they're called 'Juniata Shops' but please correct me if I'm wrong.Going back to Doncaster Works, I think this is a good route for shunting. The Class 03 is a nice engine to drive, although I think the sounds could be improved - as they are a bit outdated. This route is a good place to get to grips with the gear system on diesel-mechanical engines. The complex track layout means you can be kept very busy moving rolling stock around, and the two traversers make for an interesting sight. From memory, traversers aren't all that common in TS. I like the dead locomotives you get with this pack, especially the Class 07 as a glorified 0-4-0. I think the way RSC\/DTG did the dead 37's, 47's and Deltics was pretty interesting. It's strange seeing a 47 with the engine exposed, and another 47 with one cab all mangled. I also like the presence of Mk1 carriage shells, just because it adds a little bit more realism, and gives you something else to shunt around the yard. As sad a sight as it is, the scrap line is probably one of my favourite parts of the route. I'm not too sure why, especially since most people don't like seeing pictures of engines in the scrapyard. Even so, I think it's weird seeing several locomotive bodies stacked on top of each other. This route really is starting to show its age, in terms of the detailing. Outside of the workshop complex, it seems to rely heavily on the old Kuju assets. I will agree that these are now very outdated, but I can accept the use of Kuju assets. This is because they mean the route runs relatively smoothly on most computers, including mine. The fact that this is a BR Blue-themed route is a bit of a let-down, but I try not to prevent that from ruining the charm. Yes, I think this route has charm. Having an alternate version - set in steam days - would be pretty cool, as we could recreate Flying Scotsman and Mallard (or any other famous LNER engines) leaving the workshops for the first time. Going back to when I mentioned the dead locomotives for you to tow around, I was intrigued to see a Class 02 here. Unfortunately this is the only version of the Class 02 I have, as I was too late to get the original pack before it was discontinued. You do only get one driveable locomotive - the Class 03. I think at least one more shunter - like the Class 08 - should have been included. Regardless, the 03 is still better than nothing. Another downside to this route is the fact that all you get - track wise - is Doncaster station and the workshops. It's a very linear route, meaning there is no other track to go and explore. I guess the trick is to not drive on this route too often, otherwise you'll probably get bored of it.So to summarise, I think Doncaster Works is a nice route to practice driving diesel-mechanical engines on. It's also a good route for shunting, that is somewhat let down by the lack of included track. I would definetely recommend it for people that like the BR Blue era. My review has now concluded.. nice route great engines great rolling stock love the weathered 03. I will say I like this add on. Offers lots of time killing just shunting cars around the yard. Howerever the traverser or sliding rail bridge in front of the sheds has quit working as of the 2015 update.. Fantastic! Nice change of pace. Just dont forget to shift G for the traverser bridges. Very interesting route to look at the scenarios are bit dull after a while and derailments are very easy though the atmosphere and dead loco scenery is coolNot recommened for people who dont like shunting and sometimes complex yard work
