I am pretty disappointed in this game, and it took me a while to realize why.I've tried getting in and playing it several times now, and each time I played about an hour or two and then became incredibly bored. So I've realized this:- This game is very pretty, and fun to look at.- It gives you a good amount of creative freedom.- The art style is super cool, cartoon-ey while still high quality.- The park guests have their own personalities and unique looks.- You get to make an avatar for yourself which I always find fun.- There are a ton of options for building your park.However:- The game play is very shallow. Once you've built your park and are set to manage it, it becomes very boring very quickly.- The path building system is janky and not fun or easy to deal with. Just becomes a nuisance almost immediately.- It doesn't hit that nostalgic feeling for me at all (growing up with Zoo Tycoon and Roller Coaster Tycoon as some of the first games I got super into). - I just... Don't really have that much fun while I play this game, and for $45 that REALLY bums me out. I don't feel in anyway good about the amount of money I've spent on this game, seeing as I have no real desire to ever play it again.Overall, I feel like a lot of time and effort went into the building aspects of this game while time is frozen, but they sort of just threw together the actual "live" game time where people are exploring through your park, and forgot to actually make that part fun too. Here's hoping Frontier does better with Planet Zoo, because I desperately want a modern Zoo Tycoon type game! But based on what I've seen them produce, I will certainly be waiting until it's full release to read reviews before purchasing it.. I love this game, absolutely LOVE IT. I've watched thousands of videos of it and I'm absolutely in love. But there's one issue. I have a pretty good computer, and I still can't run the game without it lagging REALLY BAD. I'm told this is an issue on the game's side, and not mine.. i wanted a refund but its not bad it fun. extra high price and not included russian language. Best theme park game after Thrillville and RollerCoaster Tycoon, developed by the same people who made both... Frontier have a pump out paid DLC policy but it's affordable during sales. DLC rides you don't own can easily be hidden with a tick box so that they are not in ur face. met my expectations but did not exceed them either, it is a no BS modern theme park managing game. X ray donut comment. This game is very good its graphics are amazing and is in my mind the best roller coaster tycoon yet. But this game requires creativity.. It's a complex and powerful game with tons of capability and tools to create your own park, and live the nostalgia of Roller Coaster Tycoon 3. It would be a lot better if we could actually play it as its fullest. But sadly, the game becomes unplayable as your park grow. Up to a point where its impossible to keep a steady 10fps even with modern high ends PCs, its a known fact, just google it and you'll see. I've tried to play it so many times hopping I was doing something wrong, but always ended the same way, unplayable as the park reaches a certain amount of visitants.Long story short, I wouldn't recommend it solely by the fact the you cant really go deep and use all the great potential available. Sad. If you aren't 100% certain you want this game, do not buy it. If your goal is to create roller coasters and the park aspect is secondary, go NoLimits. Despite the name, Planet Coaster is NOT about roller coasters. Sure, they are there, but they take a backseat to the creation and management of a park. If you aren't willing to spend hours upon hours working on scenery and building, you will not do well in the game. If that's your type of thing, great. Get this game. If you aren't willing to do this, expect the challenge mode (where you have limited money and have to start from the ground up) to be mercilessly difficult, even in the easy mode. The career modes will give you something to do but those can become boring over time. The sandbox will let you create whatever you want but you'll soon find that the roller coasters are the opposite of smooth thanks to some of the least caring developers I've seen. The controls are a disaster and will take you a while to learn. Working inside of terrain might just be the most painful experience I've ever had the displeasure of doing. You might see the workshop and see that as a benefit to the game. In reality, it just ends up being disappointing when you realize nearly everything requires DLC, which if you want everything will set you back an extra $86 (adding up to $131 dollars total, a number that will rise with future DLC). If you are debating between this and NoLimits, please get NoLimits.. Such an amazing feeling to get back into park builders. Still receiving that ever-so desirable nostalgia whilst bringing so much more new content to the table. It's a game that can kill so much time, so quickly & i love every minute of it. 21 hrs on record and i feel like I've only explored 5% of what this game has to offer. Definitely recommend
